Propulsa, creator of Sociants, is now Hi-Trust certified.

San Juan, Puerto Rico, October 23, 2025 — Propulsa LLC, a Puerto Rican software and technology development company, announced today that it has obtained HITRUST i1 certification, one of the most rigorous and recognized industry standards for modern, adaptable information protection against threats.

The certification validates Propulsa's full compliance with all 182 HITRUST i1 controls, achieving one of the highest scores in the assessment and demonstrating its unwavering commitment to cybersecurity, data privacy, and operational excellence.

The HITRUST i1 certification offers a one-year adaptive threat assurance, utilizing a fixed set of curated controls that evolve with actual cyber risks. This achievement positions Propulsa among a select group of technology companies—and one of the few in Puerto Rico—to achieve this level of information security compliance.

“Achieving HITRUST i1 certification is more than a milestone; it’s a declaration of trust,” said Diego Loinaz, CEO and co-founder of Propulsa LLC. “Propulsa was built to serve clients handling sensitive and regulated data, from government programs to healthcare organizations, and this certification reaffirms that we are prepared to protect them at the highest level. It strengthens our ability to deliver digital transformation with trust and integrity.”

Propulsa invested more than $125,000 to obtain the certification, reaffirming its long-term commitment to protecting its customers' data and strengthening the technological infrastructure of Puerto Rico and the region.

Building the future of secure, people-centric technology

  • Case management and service coordination platform with closed-loop electronic referrals.

  • Supplier network that facilitates collaboration between organizations.

  • Eligibility and benefits portal that connects people with qualified programs and services.

  • Mobile application with offline functionality for field operations.

  • Advanced data analysis and impact measurement tools for decision-making and accountability.

Through AI-driven innovation, Propulsa expands Sociants with intelligent tools that improve automation, predictive analytics, and accuracy in benefits delivery, reflecting its continued investment in secure, people-centric technology.

“This certification reinforces Propulsa's preparedness to collaborate with institutions that demand the highest levels of data protection,” added Loinaz. “At Propulsa, we design technology that helps people address the needs that affect their lives, their families, and their communities. We are creating a future where every human being can live with dignity, opportunity, and quality of life—and that vision continues to guide our innovation.”

HITRUST i1 certification strengthens Propulsa's ability to collaborate with government agencies and healthcare organizations such as the Puerto Rico Office of Innovation and Information Security (PRITS), the Office of Management and Budget (OGP), the Department of Health, Medicare Advantage plans, and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), all under strict federal data privacy and security requirements.
